New World

After drifting along for three months, I finally reached to a land that I can cast anchor.  I have to admit I have no where (if I continue woodworking) to go but here.

It is as shiny as when I rented two years ago. Yes it's Brian Newell's shop in Atsugi, Japan. Unfortunately or not, the shop doesn't include Brian himself this time, he still has stuff to do in California before come back and work in this cozy place. Until then, I'm the governor of this kingdom. Thanks Brian.

I've made a blog in Japanese since I moved back to my country, it makes sense to write something in my language. Its contents will mostly be my experience in abroad, which is not necessary written in English but Japanese. So this blog is for foreigners who's interested in Japan and other is for domestic craftsmen who want to go North America, mainly Canada.

Well, so I'm going to make something in the shop, do some errands Brian wants me to do here, do some temporary job to pay bill, and maintain two blogs.
It seems I'm going to be busier than ever.

Sweet! Good for you Daisuke!

We'll expect to be seeing some dazzling compound curves in all of your work now! Are you going to be the only one in the shop?

Can't wait to follow along with your progress!

Nick-the teak bench is at my mom's house, being used as an office desk by me. It doesn't go with me this time but later.

T&G- yes it's fantastic isn't it? It's my privilege to use it right now but it'll be open for everybody (who has good skill) in not so distant future.

Ian- NO Compound curves for a while :) I'll be alone and lonely.
